So the time had come when we could eventually set off, just the four of us (Mitsi being the fourth) to head off into New Zealand on our own and start the road trip we had been anticipating for so long. We left Auckland and headed for a beach called Mangawhai Heads before heading further north to Paihia (Bay of Islands). In Paihia we stayed in a hostel, which Rowe and Jim had previously stayed in when they went travelling. Rowe even stayed in the same bed as he did the time before. Later that night we cracked open of our Fijian rum and headed to a pub/club for a little dance and sing song. Duvet……
